Kapanlagi.com - The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is now increasingly inseparable from daily life, including in the digital media industry. From generating content ideas, editing, to information distribution, everything is increasingly assisted by AI technology.
In light of this change, Liputan6.com once again presents the Liputan6 Connect program with the theme 'Navigating AI in Digital Media'. The event, held on June 4, 2026, at the Syahdan campus of BINUS University, invites students from the Digital Communication Study Program to better understand how AI is used in the modern media world.
Through interactive discussion sessions, participants are encouraged to take a closer look at how digital media adapts to technological advancements without forgetting important principles such as accuracy, credibility, and responsibility to the public.

In the event, Teddy Tri Setio as a Journalist from Liputan6.com discussed how AI is starting to be utilized in the journalistic process, as well as the challenges that arise amidst the rapid flow of digital information today.
"AI is not a threat to journalism, but rather a tool that can help increase work efficiency. The challenge is how we can maintain standards of verification, accuracy, and credibility amidst the overwhelming flow of information generated by technology," said Teddy.
Meanwhile, Eko Setiawan as the Social Media Manager of KapanLagi Youniverse also explained how AI is now assisting in the development of creative ideas and optimization of social media content. However, he believes there are important aspects that technology cannot replace.
"Technology will continue to evolve, but the ability to understand humans will always be an important added value. AI can help create content, but creativity, empathy, and understanding of the audience still come from humans," Eko stated.
This discussion felt relatable for students who will eventually dive directly into the creative industry and digital media, which continues to change rapidly due to technological advancements.

Representatives from BINUS University, Arleen Ariestyani, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom., as the Head of Digital Media Communication, also appreciated the presence of Liputan6 Connect on campus. According to her, understanding the appropriate and responsible use of AI has become an important aspect for students to learn from an early age.
A similar sentiment was expressed by Sari Kusuma Pratiwi, the Brand Communications Manager of KapanLagi Youniverse. She hopes that students can gain a broader understanding of the digital transformation that is currently happening.
The Liputan6 Connect program itself is indeed present as a bridge between the media industry and the academic environment through various educational and inspirational activities. In addition to sharing sessions from industry professionals, students also have the opportunity to engage in direct dialogue with speakers and receive an e-certificate as a form of appreciation for their participation.
Not only does this event serve as a learning platform about AI, but it also broadens students' perspectives on how technology can be utilized wisely without losing the creative and humanistic aspects in the digital media world.
