Man in Malang Becomes a Fugitive After Slashing His Neighbor's Head with a Sharp Weapon

Kapanlagi.com - DJ was found by his neighbor in a bloody condition due to a slash wound from a sharp weapon. The man, a resident of Duwet Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency, suffered serious head injuries and cuts on his hands and had to be rushed to the hospital.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Malang Police, Iptu Wahyu Riski Saputro, said that the victim is currently receiving intensive care in the hospital. The victim has not yet been able to provide information about the violence he experienced.

"The victim is still undergoing treatment and undergoing surgery. He is still in intensive care, and after the treatment is completed, an examination will be conducted," said Riski when confirmed on Tuesday (23/5).

The perpetrator himself is currently being pursued by police officers. After the incident, the perpetrator fled.

"Currently, efforts are still being made to pursue him," he said.

Riski said that a team has been formed to pursue the perpetrator. The team has identified the perpetrator and is currently working in the field.

The Tumpang Police Chief, AKP Bagus Wijanarko, said that the victim suffered a slash wound to the head and is still undergoing treatment at Saiful Anwar Hospital (RSSA) in Malang. A series of treatments must be undergone by the victim after previously being treated at a health center.

AKP Bagus said that based on witness testimony, the suspect and the victim were involved in a conversation on Sunday (5/21) around 8:00 PM. However, shortly after, the witness heard someone asking for help.

“The witness searched for the source of the sound and saw the victim already covered in blood,” he explained.

4. Attempting to Intervene

The DJ, who was already covered in blood, was held from behind by the suspect. The witness tried to intervene by releasing the victim's grip by pushing them both.

“The witness pushed the victim and the suspect until they fell and a sharp weapon was seen being used, a type of sickle,” he explained.

5. Asking for Help

At the same time, the suspect fled to the north. The victim also asked for help and claimed to have been attacked by the suspect.

In a state of panic, the witness asked for help from the surrounding community. Immediately, the community provided assistance by taking the victim to the nearest health center.
