Festival Jajanan Bango (FJB) is held again at Plaza Parkir Timur Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Senayan, Jakarta Pisat, Friday (28/10). This is the first time FJB 2022 is held offline after two years of being held online due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Check out the photos below..
Festival Jajanan Bango 2022 this time carries the theme #KenaliRasanyaIndonesia which means that the step to preserve Indonesian cuisine is for every community to first recognize the taste of typical Indonesian cuisine.
At the 2022 FJB, there were a total of 90 culinary vendors participating. The event itself was held for three days, from October 28th to 30th.
This festival, which has been held since 2005, also plays an important role in Indonesia's economy, as culinary festivals are part of the driving force behind micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Through this event, Indonesian cuisine is encouraged to expand internationally. As of 2021, there were only 1,400 registered Indonesian restaurants nationwide, and the latest data shows that there are only 1,100 remaining.
These culinary festivals in Indonesia are expected to introduce the taste of Indonesian cuisine.
Of course, in every event, there is always a culinary that becomes the prima donna. One of the most favored is Sate Kuah Pontianak Bang Anek, which has been established since 2010 in Jakarta.
The Bango Food Festival itself has been held since 2005 and has become a regular event every year.
Coincidentally, this year's Bango Food Festival coincides with Youth Pledge Day, therefore this event invites the entire community to recognize, celebrate, and preserve the deliciousness of traditional Indonesian cuisine.
The inauguration of FJB 2022 is also supported by other implementing partners, namely Gojek, through a ceremonial departure of 30 riders who will travel around Jakarta.
