Portrait of Danella Ilene, INTM Participant Model who went Viral for Revealing her Depression Experience

Recently, netizens have been focusing on the figure of Danella Ilene, one of the participants in the Indonesian Next Top Model event. Not because of the sensation or her achievements in the talent search event, but because of her story of experiencing depression. She revealed that she had experienced it before entering the modeling world in Indonesia.

Expressing depression publicly is still seen as a trivial matter, especially in Indonesia. It even becomes a subject of jokes. However, Ilene is different. She seems very strong in expressing her bitter experience, even on a big stage of a talent search event.

Ilene has been involved in Modeling since graduating from high school. she works hard to build her body to achieve certain standards.

This beautiful model from Bali tries various diet methods to fulfill her dream of becoming a model.

However, along the way, many diet methods cannot be applied to her body.

This has made Ilene disappointed and due to excessive dieting, she eventually developed an eating disorder.

During the diagnosis of eating disorder, Ilene admitted that she always wants to eat continuously and feels like not wanting to eat anything. Instead, Ilene received a lot of bullying and body shaming from fellow models.

The depression gets worse day by day. In fact, Ilene has even thought about ending her own life.

Ilene's dark days are now over, because now she claims to be more confident and much stronger.

Depression does not discriminate against anyone, regardless of their background, including Ilene. It is rare to find someone who is strong and able to share their experience with the public. I really admire Ilene for being brave enough to share her story!
