In early December, Mount Semeru erupted and caused severe damage in the surrounding area. As a result, dozens of residents were temporarily evacuated for their safety because most of their houses were buried in volcanic ash. This incident has garnered sympathy from the entire public of the country, including journalists in Jakarta. They formed a team called 'Wartawan Jakarta Bergerak Untuk Semeru' (Journalists in Jakarta Move for Semeru) to raise funds and distribute them directly to the affected residents of the Semeru eruption. Check out the following photos.
