From the companion Abdullah bin Mas'ud (RA), "He asked the Prophet, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is the most virtuous deed?' 'Praying on time,' answered the Prophet. He asked again, 'Then what?' 'Being dutiful to both parents,' he replied. He then asked again, 'Then what?' 'Jihad in the way of Allah,' he replied,' (HR Bukhari and Muslim).

"O Allah, forgive me and my parents, and have mercy on both of them, grant healing to both of them, forgive their sins, honor their position, and provide them with abundant wealth. Cleanse them with water, snow, and rain and purify them from all sins and mistakes like white clothes cleaned from dirt. Give them a better home than their home and a better family than their family, and match them with a better partner. And place them in the highest level of paradise, along with the Prophets, the righteous, the martyrs, and the good-doers. Make them good companions."
