This extracurricular program is called Edublox and is conducted at Solo Technopark. This activity is supervised by teachers and also the students' parents to ensure a safe and controlled learning process.
"Yes, this extracurricular activity is indeed supervised by their teacher, accompanied by their parents," said Solo Mayor Respati Arti as quoted by detikJateng, Friday (12/9/2025).
Respati Ardi emphasized that this program aims to introduce the digital world from an early age in a fun and beneficial way, so that children can develop their imagination and creativity through popular gaming platforms among Generation Alpha.
"How do we see the development of the digital world and Roblox if with the right supervision and proper training it will enable children to be creative and socialize with their friends online," he continued.
This extracurricular provision is specifically for middle school students as it is considered that at this age they are sufficiently capable of understanding and processing educational material through Roblox.
"Yes, especially for middle school first, my hope is not for early childhood, because Roblox should be for middle school leading to teenagers," said Respati.
"Children, I do not recommend, middle school children are approaching their teenage years and already know, later the teacher will be from us, from Solo," he continued.
