Student in Malang Dies Before Graduation, Campus Refunds Tuition

Kapanlagi.com - Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) refunds tuition fees for deceased students. Roy Inzaqhi Saputra, a student of the Informatics Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering, passed away shortly before graduation due to illness.

"As a form of condolences from UMM to the family, we will refund all the fees that have been paid during their education at UMM to their parents," said Fauzan, UMM Rector Prof. Dr. Fauzan, on Friday (25/8).

1. Outstanding Student

The late Roy was an outstanding student and graduated without a thesis. The results of his research were published in Sinta I journal, and he graduated through the equivalence program.

All graduation requirements have been fulfilled and he should have been graduated on Thursday, August 24. The late Roy achieved a GPA of 3.93.

"That is not an easy achievement for most engineering students," he emphasized.

2. Very Friendly

The research entitled "Evaluation of the Usability Learning Management System during the Covid-19 Pandemic Using the Scale System" also successfully indexed in indexed journals.

It is evidence of the diligence and strong determination in undergoing the learning process to become the pride of both parents.

This 2019 class student is known for his friendliness to all friends, especially during his active participation in organizations while studying. Until the end of his life, the deceased had a special place in the hearts of friends, lecturers, and both parents.

3. Roy's Parents Invited to the Stage

Although he is no longer with us, he has successfully obtained a bachelor's degree in computer science and has been able to spread benefits through his research and kindness.

Roy's parents were also invited to the stage to receive the deceased's diploma. The UMM Rector directly reimbursed the deceased's family's tuition fees.

"Hopefully, the deceased will be placed in the best place in His side," he emphasized.
