As summarized on Monday (28/10/2024), she starts by preparing a regular pot, not a pressure cooker, and then boils water until it reaches a boil. She also emphasizes the importance of adjusting the amount of water according to the number of ketupat so that all are perfectly submerged.
Once the water is boiling perfectly, it's time to carefully put the ketupat into the pot, ensuring each ketupat is fully submerged in water. "Make sure there's enough water, because if it's lacking, the result could be rice, not ketupat," emphasized Eva and Ridwan in their video.
Next, cover the pot and boil the ketupat for 5 minutes, then turn off the stove and let the ketupat sit in the pot for 30 minutes. This process is very important to ensure the ketupat remains perfectly cooked even after the fire is out.
After waiting for 30 minutes, it's time to turn the stove back on to boil the ketupat for 7 minutes. After that, turn off the stove and remove the ketupat from the pot, then drain in a colander until cool. Once the ketupat has cooled, it is ready to be served with tempting deliciousness. In the video, the sliced ketupat shows a soft and chewy texture that is mouth-watering.
