Kapanlagi.com - After being separated from her hometown for five years, Mrs. Uswatun Hasanah, affectionately known as Mrs. Atun, has finally realized her dream of going home. The 2025 Free Homecoming Program from State-Owned Enterprises became a bridge for Mrs. Atun to return to Tegal and reunite with her family.
The struggle of Mrs. Atun as a traveling coffee vendor and a mother of two is not easy. Economic limitations often hinder her from returning home, especially when transportation costs become a primary consideration.
However, this year, Mrs. Atun's hopes were fulfilled through the Joint Homecoming Program organized by PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM). This program provides an opportunity for the community, especially PNM Mekaar customers, to reunite with their families without the burden of high transportation costs.
Mother Atun always misses her hometown, especially when she learns about her mother-in-law's illness. The desire to go home grows stronger as Eid approaches, but the cost of traveling always becomes a barrier.
"I am so happy to finally be able to go home, I hope the free homecoming program continues because it really helps the people, especially small traders like me," said Mother Atun with shining eyes.

The Homecoming Program with State-Owned Enterprises is a tangible expression of the government's and PNM's concern for helping small communities. Through this program, Mother Atun and many others can celebrate Eid moments with their families.
The President Director of PNM, Arief Mulyadi, is grateful to be a part of the happiness of the customers. According to him, the free homecoming program is a manifestation of PNM's presence in the midst of the community's needs.
The Free Homecoming Program from State-Owned Enterprises 2025 departs nearly 106,000 homecomers involving 83 state-owned companies. The increase in the number of homecomers by 12% from the previous year shows the enthusiasm of the community.
Various modes of transportation are used, including more than 1,372 buses, 92 train sets, and 29 ships. In particular, the use of trains has increased drastically by 53% this year.
The Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, noted a significant shift from two-wheeled vehicles to safer modes of transportation. About 50% of the public now prefers buses and trains for homecoming, indicating an awareness of travel safety.
This program not only alleviates the burden on the community but also reduces the risk of traffic accidents during the homecoming journey. This is very important for homecomers, especially those traveling with families.
In addition to the free homecoming program, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises also provides other incentives such as discounts on flight tickets of up to 13% and 25% off train tickets. This is a tangible step to help the community face high transportation costs.
Reducing toll rates by up to 20% is also one of the efforts to alleviate the burden on the community during the homecoming period. All of this is done so that the community can celebrate the holiday peacefully.
The official departure of the BUMN Free Homecoming program will take place on March 27, 2025, from Gelora Bung Karno and the headquarters of PT PP in Jakarta. The theme 'Safe Homecoming to Destination' is a hope for all travelers.
Registration is done through the Mitra Darat application, making it easier for the community to participate in this program. All of this is part of the government's efforts to ensure that everyone can return to their hometown safely.
Arief Mulyadi hopes that more families like Ibu Atun can experience the joy of gathering with relatives on the day of Eid. The Joint Homecoming Program by SOEs is expected to facilitate a calm and enjoyable Eid celebration in their hometown.
With this program, small communities can celebrate the holiday without being burdened by transportation costs. Hopefully, this program can continue and more people can benefit from it.
