Kapanlagi.com - A training aircraft is reported to have crashed in the BSD area, South Tangerang on Sunday, May 19, 2024. The aircraft with 3 crew members is known to belong to the Indonesia Flying Club. After taking off from Tanjung Lesung Banten airport at 13:00, the aircraft flew to Pondok Cabe Tangerang Selatan airport. According to circulating reports, a few moments before the crash, the pilot sent a mayday code. However, at 14:00, the aircraft was reported to have lost contact. Shortly after, the aircraft was found crashed at Sunburst BSD Field, South Tangerang.The three crew members were reported to have died. According to witnesses at the scene, heavy rain was falling at the time of the incident. However, the National Transportation Safety Committee or KNKT has not yet confirmed whether the crash of the training aircraft was caused by bad weather.
