Ryan's father, Rustam Effendy, flew from Aceh to give his testimony. He stated that they had made various efforts to keep their child's marriage intact. However, Ria Ricis still insisted on her initial position, which was to separate from Teuku Ryan. On that occasion, Rustam Effendy revealed that his relationship with Ria Ricis remained good despite the troubled condition of her marriage with Teuku Ryan. Meanwhile, Teuku Ryan's lawyer, Dedi Rizal Armidi, stated that both families had also conducted two mediations outside the court.
