Kapanlagi.com - Joko Anwar is ready to release his latest work entitled SIKSA KUBUR, a religious horror genre. The presentation under the Come and See Pictures banner was developed from a short film of the same title that was uploaded on Youtube. Joko revealed that since the success of the short film, he and producer Tia Hasibuan have been thinking of making a feature-length version. However, that desire could only be realized after twelve years passed.
This religious horror genre presentation stars Reza Rahadian, Faradina Mufti, and Christine Hakim. In order to make SIKSA KUBUR his tenth film, Joko made a big decision for his career. How come, he dared to leave a Hollywood-scale project. However, did you know that SIKSA KUBUR originated from Joko's restlessness when he heard the story of grave torture from his religious teacher? This primal fear is then poured into a short film initiated by Justin Lin.
