He explained further that the feeling arose while he was in the process of shooting Laal Singh Chaddha. Aamir felt that for many years he had been too focused on his career, thus neglecting his relationships with those closest to him. "I feel that I was not present enough for these people, whether it was Kiran when I married her, or Reena when I married her," said Aamir, reminiscing about those times.

The feeling of guilt increasingly burdened his mind. Aamir felt he had given his entire life to the film world, while family and personal relationships had to be neglected. "At that time, I felt a lot of guilt, I did not feel good about what I had done," he said. As a result of that feeling, Aamir made a big decision.

"Finally, I decided to quit the film industry," Aamir continued. "I feel that 35 years in the film industry is enough, now it's time to focus on my family and personal relationships," he added. He then contacted his family and said that he wanted to spend more time with them. "I called my family and said, 'Listen, I'm not going to do films anymore, I want to spend time with you,'" he reminisced.

However, Aamir's decision to quit didn't last long. His eldest son, Junaid, who saw his father in confusion, provided a different perspective. Junaid assured Aamir that there was no need to choose between family and career so drastically. "You can continue making films, and you can also be with us," Junaid told Aamir.

Junaid's statement made Aamir realize that he did not need to choose one over the other, but could find a balance between the two. "My son says that I don't need to make an extreme decision, there is a space in the middle that I can live in," Aamir said, recalling the conversation with his son.
