Zaskia Adya Mecca, an artist and mother of six children, recently made a humanitarian trip to Syria with her husband, Hanung Bramantyo. This decision was made after Zaskia asked her husband for permission as an unusual birthday gift, which was to deliver humanitarian aid to refugees in Syria. Zaskia expressed her desire to see the conditions in Syria firsthand, which has experienced Israeli military attacks in recent months.
While Zaskia and Hanung are in Syria, their children will be taken care of by family. "So, Kak Kia (the nickname for Zaskia Adya Mecca) actually has very independent children, because they are used to Mas Hanung being away for filming for quite a long time, and Kak Kia also sometimes often goes out of town for various things. So, actually, her children are not the cranky type when left behind," said Haykal as quoted by detikhot.
Haykal Kamil, who is a close relative, explained that they have planned ways to take good care of the children while their parents are away. Haykal emphasized the importance of communication and family involvement in making sure the children feel comfortable and safe.
"Alhamdulillah, the children are quite independent. Most of the time we take turns visiting them. Yesterday I took Haula to school, met up, while dropping off Haula, I waited for Brey until he arrived. We look out for each other," concluded Haykal Kamil.
The family also helps ensure the children do their homework when they come home from school. They even check on them during breaks and when it's time to sleep. Once everything is done, Haykal will go home.
It is known that Zaskia and her husband will be in Syria for 1 week. Hopefully, their journey back to Indonesia will go smoothly, okay. "Just this week, please pray that Kak Kia and Mas Hanung's journey goes smoothly," explained Haykal Kamil.
