Salman Khan has increased the level of security at his residence in Galaxy Apartments, Mumbai. His home's balcony is now covered with bulletproof glass to ensure his safety.
A video showing the balcony covered with blue fabric has gone viral on social media. Paparazzi Viral Bhayani, who shared the video, revealed that it is bulletproof glass installed to protect Salman.
This security upgrade comes after Salman Khan received several death threats, particularly from a gangster gang led by Lawrence Bishnoi. In April 2024, shots were fired outside Salman’s Galaxy Apartments located in the Bandra area of Mumbai.
After the incident, it was reported that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was allegedly involved in the attack. Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, Anmol Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the shooting through a post on Facebook.
Subsequently, the gang sent a message to the Mumbai Traffic Police, demanding a ransom of Rs 5 crore for Salman to be granted "forgiveness." The message also stated that if the demands were not met, Salman would face a fate worse than Baba Siddique.
Baba Siddique was a figure who was shot dead in Mumbai on October 12, 2024. This threat certainly made the authorities more vigilant regarding Salman Khan's safety. After these incidents, Salman’s security was immediately reinforced.
In October 2024, Salman Khan purchased a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV for around Rs 2 crore, which was imported directly from Dubai to Mumbai. This decision was made to enhance protection for himself. Additionally, security measures have also been tightened outside the Bigg Boss 18 filming location in Film City, Mumbai.
Salman Khan's security team has also been reinforced with an additional eight to ten armed officers. A special command center has also been established at his residence by the Mumbai Police.
