SRK also revealed other interesting facts about his father. He mentioned that his father was one of the youngest freedom fighters in India. In fact, Mir Taj Mohammad received a bronze medal for his contributions to the independence struggle. He was also imprisoned at the age of 14 or 15 and even ran for election against Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, although he lost.
Additionally, SRK shared that his father tried various kinds of businesses, but all of them failed. From furniture, transportation, to restaurants, all those ventures were unsuccessful. However, despite experiencing failure repeatedly, his father never gave up. He kept trying and eventually opened a tea stall in a small place behind a hospital.
The place was given to the freedom fighters, and there, SRK's father began to make and sell tea. Although his business was simple, it was what ultimately provided for their family. SRK greatly appreciated his father's resilience in facing various life difficulties, which is why he considers his father to be the "most successful failure."
This life story of his father taught SRK about the importance of perseverance, fighting, and staying positive even in the face of failure. It also explains why SRK always shows deep respect and love for his parents, especially for his father, who has been a role model in his life.
