Shortly after Tubagus Joddy was named a suspect, his father named Tubagus Ndang Lesmana finally appeared and spoke up. Shortly after his son was named a suspect, Tubagus Ndang Lesmana mentioned that Joddy had improved after experiencing severe shock following the accident.
In front of the media, he mentioned that his son deeply regretted his actions. Joddy is also ready to accept any sanctions and take responsibility for his negligence.
Not stopping there, the father also mentioned that Joddy had no malicious intent towards Vanessa or Bibi.
"Regret, and still can't believe it. 'Why is Jody fine? Why did Vanessa and mas Bibi die, while Joddy didn't,'" he said when met at his residence in Bogor, West Java, on Monday (15/11).
After the accident, Joddy also called himself and didn't say much. He only sent a photo of the car and the accident's location shareloc.
Tubagus Ndang Lesmana himself had previously met Vanessa and Bibi's family and conveyed his deepest regret and apology.
He expressed his gratitude for being welcomed and forgiven by both sides of the victims' families.
For the future, Joddy's father hopes that his son will receive a fair punishment. He also advised Joddy to be honest and cooperative during the investigation.
Tubagus Ndang Lesmana also promised to always maintain good relationships and intense communication with Vanessa's family and Bibi until this legal issue is resolved.
