The concert "This Life" by Take That at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (13/11/2024), marks the return of the legendary British group, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald, to Indonesia after 29 years.

Not only did they showcase incredible energy with their hit songs, but the three also created warmth with fans through close interactions.

Mark Owen even expressed his happiness about being able to perform in Jakarta again. "I’m so happy to be here again," he said.

"The signs below say, 'Thank you for coming back after 29 years.' It has been a very long time. It is truly amazing to be here again."

The concert opened with a stunning performance from The Brownsu, an R&B band from Bandung, who performed ten energetic songs and successfully warmed up the atmosphere before Take That took the stage.

When this iconic trio finally appeared in all-black outfits, they immediately shook the stage with the song "Greatest Day." Colorful confetti shots instantly enveloped the audience, making the concert atmosphere even more epic.

Mark Owen also greeted the audience in Indonesian, saying, “Good evening, Jakarta,” which was met with loud applause.

Not only that, Mark also seemed to pay attention to fans one by one, giving smiles and thank yous to those wearing Take That t-shirts.

In the middle of the concert, Gary Barlow shared his sweet memories about their visit to Indonesia in 1995, especially regarding his love for gamelan, a traditional Indonesian musical instrument.

He recounted that his music teacher was very obsessed with gamelan, and the experience of seeing it live in Jakarta in 1995 still lingers in his memory.

“He was very obsessed with gamelan, and in the end, I could see it when we were here back in 1995,” recalled Gary with a smile.

That night, Take That satisfied the longing of fans by performing several of their legendary songs such as “How Deep Is Your Love?”, “Back for Good,” and “Patience.”

Each song brought waves of nostalgia for fans who had long awaited this moment. This historic concert not only satisfied long-time fans but also created new memories filled with warmth and togetherness.
