After performing the funeral prayer for the late Ray Sahetapy at Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, the family took the body of the late Ray Sahetapy to Tanah Kusir Cemetery. The burial process took place after Friday prayers.

The body of the late Ray was prayed over at Istiqlal Mosque because he converted to Islam there. The family, along with thousands of worshippers at Istiqlal, participated in the funeral prayer together.

Upon arriving at Tanah Kusir Cemetery, Ray's three children descended into the grave. They buried their beloved father with deep sorrow.

Ray's grandchildren also accompanied their grandfather to the grave. They gave their final farewell before Ray's body was covered with earth.

Surya Sahetapy appeared strong throughout the funeral procession. He flew in from America as soon as he heard the news of his father's passing.

Rama Sahetapy could not hold back his tears of sorrow. After the grave was covered with earth, Rama cried in sobs in the embrace of Dewi Yull.

Rama's tears continued to flow, and he was comforted by his wife, Merdi Octav. Merdi hugged Rama to soothe the grief of her husband, who was left forever by his father.

Raya Sahetapy, the youngest child, also could not hold back his tears. He cried as he accompanied his father to his resting place.

Surya Sahetapy was the strongest among the three siblings. However, grief was clearly visible on his face.

Surya mentioned that Ray has now met his late sister, Gisca. He tries to be strong and does not feel tired even though he has just traveled a long distance from America.

After the grave was covered with soil, the family scattered flowers. They chose flowers predominantly in white for Ray's grave.

Merdi, Ray's son-in-law, also could not hold back his sadness from being left by his father-in-law. While hugging his child, Merdi cried sobbing beside Ray's grave.

Dewi Yull, who accompanied her children during the funeral, also scattered flowers on Ray's grave. She gently caressed the tomb of her ex-husband.

Accompanied by her son-in-law, Dewi poured water on Ray's grave. Although they had been apart for 21 years, Dewi still maintained her relationship with Ray.

After the burial, the family recited prayers for the late Ray. It is planned that Ray's grave will be moved to Palu, in accordance with the wishes of the deceased before passing away.
