"My sister is still a Christian, and we can be happy together in the sense of practicing our own religions. My mother celebrates Christmas, and I am the happiest because it's my moment to decorate the Christmas tree," said Reza.

"I let my mother celebrate Christmas, or Easter, whether there is a service at home, in the place where I pray, my mother can pray to Jesus in her own way," continued Reza.

Reza also admitted that he embraced Islam when he was 19 years old. The handsome actor added that he rarely talks about religion to anyone. His conversion is purely the result of a dialogue with the creator.

Before embracing Islam, Reza Rahadian used to be a Christian and was raised in a Christian school. Reza tells that when he was in school, he was a student of the late Glenn Fredly.

"Glenn Fredly was one of my Sunday School teachers at the church back then," said Reza.

Reza also admitted that he was brought up with Christian values. As time went by, the actor who starred in the movie PEREMPUAN BERKALUNG SORBAN chose to embrace Islam without any coercion from anyone.

5. Never Met His Biological Father

On Daniel Mananta Network's YouTube channel, Reza stated that he never met his biological father. In Reza's eyes, his mother, Pratiwi Widianti Matulessy, is a great mother figure.

"I was raised in a family that, in my opinion, is complete in quotation marks. Because my mom played an extraordinary role as both a mother and a father. I was raised by a single parent," he explained.

It is known that Reza Rahardian's father left his mother when he was 6 months old. Reza Rahadian even chooses a brief and clear expression when people ask about his father, 'he has passed away'. With that, no one asks about it anymore.

"I don't even know what he looks like, what his form is. I don't know. Because he left my mother when I was 6 months old. So I have no idea at all," he added.

This was because he felt pressured by the criticism and comments from people about him. He admitted that this happened right after he played a role in the film BENYAMIN BIANG KEROK.

"The criticism was very harsh for that film, and it gave me a strong warning and valuable lesson, I was so sad," said Reza.

However, not wanting to dwell in sadness, Reza said that he rose up because of advice from his mother.

"Come on, forget it, how long are you going to be like this. So, just let it be, Move on, move forward and know that what you're doing is positive," Reza imitated his mother's words.
