The man who was born in Bireuen, Aceh, does not deny that every day many people invite him to get married through taaruf. In fact, he admitted that he receives CVs for taaruf almost every day.
"Every day I receive dozens of CV taaruf emails, when I open my email besides work there are CV CV taaruf, and there are also handsome ones," he said when met in the Kemang Timur area, South Jakarta on Monday (30/8).
Politely, Syakir Daulay responded to the invitation to do taaruf with a gentle rejection. That's because he doesn't have the desire to get married in the near future.
"But I didn't chat with them, some are from Padang, some from Kalimantan, Java. I told them to wait for a while. The ones who send their CVs are surely ready for marriage while I am not," he said.
One of the reasons why Syakir Daulay doesn't want to get married at a young age is because he learned a little from his older brother, Zikri Daulay, who got married young and eventually his marriage with Henny Rahman fell apart halfway.
"Many lessons are in front of our eyes, from my brother and friends who used to tease me to get married. Finally, they themselves experience that getting married is not easy," he concluded.
