In an interview with presenter Rian Ibram that aired on YouTube on Friday, April 25, 2025, Celine emphasized that her decision to convert was entirely born from within herself.
Celine firmly denied rumors suggesting that she converted to marry a Muslim man. She also rejected the notion that her decision was influenced by family or anyone's coercion.
"The reason I converted to Islam was not because I was taught by someone, not because I was told by someone, not because of my family," he explained on Rian Ibrahim's Youtube channel, on Friday (25/4). "Were you born a Muslim? I didn't hear the call to prayer since I was little, right? It wasn't because I wanted to marry a Muslim either," he continued.

Celine explained that her decision to convert to Islam was based on a deep belief in the concept of divinity in Islam.
"But because I believe that Allah is the only God who is not likened to anything and does not beget nor is begotten. So I am sure that Prophet Muhammad is the last messenger of Allah," she added.
Celine's process has also faced various challenges. She certainly received a lot of pressure, but the path she chose has made her comfortable.
"There’s a lot of pressure like don’t do this, don’t do that. During this process, I’m afraid of making mistakes," said the 33-year-old artist. "I feel touched, because finally I am on the path that I chose myself, where I feel comfortable, I feel the teachings are like that," she continued.
