Loves sports starting from tennis, badminton, padel to girls' futsal, Davina Karamoy apparently once wanted to focus on becoming a basketball athlete and never thought of pursuing a career in the entertainment world. However, her decision changed, now she is known as an artist specializing in the role of a homewrecker and has given up her path as a basketball athlete.
Now known as an artist specializing in 'homewrecker' or mistress roles, it turns out that Davina Karamoy never wanted to enter the entertainment world before.
When she was still in school, Davina's focus was actually on basketball. She pursued basketball extracurricular activities from middle school to high school.
"Actually, I used to play basketball, sis...," said Davina when she was a guest on Praz Teguh's podcast on Thursday (15/5/2025).
During her school years, Davina Karamoy never thought about becoming an artist. However, after seeing her sister auditioning, she was encouraged to audition as well, and that is how her path to the entertainment world opened up.
When asked why she didn't choose to be a cheerleader since basketball is close to cheerleaders, Davina gave a firm answer. "I'd rather play basketball than just cheer; it's better to score points ourselves."
"People really didn't want to become artists at first, didn't even think about becoming artists... I swear," she said reassuringly.
"I was a bit confused, choosing between a career or basketball. I actually thought about being a basketball athlete first, I had that in mind. Because in middle school, there were the Olympics, and in high school, I was still competing in school competitions. Then I started to get active in entertainment in high school, first with movies (then) soap operas," she explained.
