Portrait of Chand Kelvin's Emotional Tears When He First Azzan for His Son: I've Never Been This Happy

Chand Kelvin's tears of emotion could not be held back when he first called the adhan for his beloved child. This sacred moment occurred just after the birth of his son, Ahmad Cadmael Dalsher Chandegra, at RSIA Tambak, Central Jakarta on Wednesday (14/5/2025).

Chand Kelvin admitted that his heart was filled with an extraordinary sense of gratitude and happiness. He even trembled when he recited the adhan in the baby's right ear.

"Honestly, I was trembling. This is the first time I felt like this, so mixed up. But when I called the azan for him, there was an incredible sense of calm. Tears immediately fell," said Chand with teary eyes when met at RSIA Tambak, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, (15/5/2025).

That moment became the most emotional point remembered by the 39-year-old actor. As a Muslim, calling the azan for a child is a tradition that he believes is a form of introducing the first spiritual life for the baby."Yes, that’s a moment I can’t forget. I really felt like a father. Just realized, this is my child, this is my trust," he expressed sincerely.

Chand recounted that he had long wanted to be the first person to call the azan for his child someday. He feels that the responsibility as the head of the family begins from the very first second the child breathes the air of the world."I once told my wife, 'when our child is born, I want to call the azan.' And thank God it happened. It feels relieving, touching, and very happy," he said

Not only Chand, his wife Dea Sahirah also shed tears witnessing that touching moment. According to Dea, the call to prayer sung by her husband felt very moving and filled the delivery room with warmth.

"Yes, I also cried seeing him call to prayer. His voice trembled, but it was full of love. That was the most beautiful moment for us," said Dea, who sat next to Chand.

Chand admitted that since the birth of his son, he feels that a part of him has changed. He has become more sensitive, more patient, and values the time spent with family more."It feels like there’s new energy coming in. I’m more motivated to live life, wanting to be the best person for my wife and child," he said.

Despite the exhaustion from a long labor process, Chand and Dea agreed that everything was worth it with the arrival of their little one. They promised to take care of and raise their child as best as they could."This is a gift from God. I promise to take care of him, give him the best, and be a father who is always there for him," Chand concluded with emotion.
