"Because I am already married, there are two families. With my mom in Kemanggisan, it's very crowded because that's where the big family gathering is. If I'm at home with my wife, we don't cook much, we more often bring food from my in-laws or my mom," he said when met on Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, not long ago.

This tradition of bringing food from two families has become an annual routine. Usually, the ketupat is brought from the in-laws, while the vegetable ketupat is made by his mother. "My mom's vegetable ketupat is amazing," he said with a smile.

Eid is also a time for Dicky to remember memories with his late father. Now, his mother's house is only inhabited by his older brother and one nephew, making the night of takbir feel warmer and full of nostalgia. "Ramadan and Eid are always special. We can gather with the extended family, those who rarely meet get to meet," he added. /aal
