The divorce process between Kimberly Ryder and Edward Akbar is still ongoing at the Central Jakarta Religious Court. Machi Achmad, Kimberly Ryder's attorney, expressed confidence that the judges will grant her client's petition, including regarding child custody.

This optimism is based on the fact that Kimberly has consistently proven her responsibility as a mother by supporting her children's needs. This is reinforced by transfer evidence that has been submitted to the judges. Here are the details.

"I am very optimistic that custody of the child will be granted to Kim. Until now, Kim has always been the one supporting the child," said Machi Achmad at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Friday (22/11/2024).

Not only that, Machi also emphasized that Kimberly has been bearing most of the financial responsibilities in their household. "We have also submitted evidence of the transfers to the judges. Most of the household expenses are borne by Kim," he added.

The divorce hearing, which was supposed to be decided on November 20, 2024, had to be postponed twice. Nevertheless, Kimberly accepted the postponement with an open heart, considering that the judges needed time to weigh the evidence and deliberate.

"I explained to Kim that the judge does have the authority to deliberate. We have also provided all the evidence. Kim has been very cooperative in following the trial process," said Machi.

As a sign of her seriousness, Kimberly attended every hearing and read the contents of the lawsuit and responses directly in front of the panel of judges. According to Machi, this shows that Kimberly greatly respects the ongoing legal process. "Unlike the defendant, Kim is always present at every hearing. In fact, for every content of the lawsuit or answer that we submit, Kim also reads it directly," he revealed.
