Kimberly Ryder finally spoke up about the issue of her closeness with Baim Wong. Their names had indeed been widely paired by netizens after being involved in a shooting project together. However, when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police on Wednesday (18/6/2025), Kimberly denied the news.
"You're the one who started pairing us. What’s up with that? Not me. Hehehe," said Kimberly while laughing in response to a reporter's question.
"It's just a friendship. We are indeed professional, friends, and everything is just fine," she said. Kim emphasized that her relationship with Baim is only that of colleagues and professional friends, with no emotional closeness or opening their hearts to each other.
Even when asked about the possibility of a deeper relationship while working together, Kimberly answered firmly. "So far, no," Kimberly said briefly.
Nevertheless, Kimberly gave a positive impression of her view on Baim Wong. "Friend, professional, keep collaborating, he's a hard worker, he's a good father to his children, that's all," she explained.
The issue had spread after Baim's child, Kiano Kenzo, was said to often call Kimberly. However, according to her, that was just part of their closeness while shooting in Jogja.
"Yes, sometimes they like to call, so we are fine because when I was shooting in Jogja with Kak Baim, his children were there too," Kimberly said.
Although she claims to be close, Kimberly dismisses the notion that she is replacing the role of a mother for Baim's children. She feels that netizens' comments are sometimes too far-fetched.
