Recently, the music industry in the country has been buzzing about song royalties. Singer and songwriter Opick responded to it casually.

It was evident when he appeared on the Pagi Pagi Ambyar Trans Tv show, Opick stated that he doesn't mind if his songs are sung without permission. Read more below!

"I don't have a problem with that. There's a lot of fuss about royalties, just let it be," said Opick on Pagi Pagi Ambyar, as seen on the TRANS Tv Official Youtube channel.   "If today you use it, and it’s good for you, why not? Go ahead," he continued.

Opick is known for creating songs for several singers, including Iwan Fals and Siti Nurhaliza. However, he does not force them to pay royalties.

"It's not a problem, just make it easy. I mean, I'm a tailor, and when the clothes are worn by someone, should I ask for more?" he explained.

Opick also explained that royalties are certainly agreed upon from the start.   "What I mean is 'Sir, I'm paying this much', Okay, go ahead," he concluded.

"But when the singers are aware, during Eid they give (royalty money), that’s also good. But this is my limited perspective, others can do as they wish. For now, this is how it is for me, no problem," he added.

Opick also feels that sustenance has already been arranged by someone, truly his heart is very sincere.   "Sustenance will not reach you if it is not written for you. Even if you strive. We just go with the flow, we shouldn't worry too much about things like that, just worry about your relationship with Allah," said Opick.
