Paula Verhoeven finally appeared at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, to continue her divorce proceedings with Baim Wong. Her presence drew attention because Paula arrived a bit late, accompanied by a man who is said to be a family member.
On the other hand, Baim Wong was already at the location. The actor and entrepreneur appeared to be waiting calmly in the courtroom. Nevertheless, he was reluctant to provide many comments regarding today’s court agenda.
When approached by the media, Paula remained calm and answered briefly about her condition. "Thank God I'm healthy," said Paula before entering the courtroom
However, Paula chose not to say much further and only smiled at the reporters. "Just pray for me," she added.
This trial is a continuation after the mediation efforts between Paula and Baim failed to reach a solution. The mediation, which was hoped to be a middle ground, did not yield results.
In this hearing, Baim Wong as the petitioner presented several pieces of evidence to support his request. Baim's attorney, Fahmi Bachmid, explained that there are 43 pieces of evidence submitted, ranging from written documents to electronic data.
"Consists of written evidence and there are several electronic evidences, in the form of conversations. What the evidence is like, please ask inside," explained Fahmi to the media crew.
This statement emphasizes Baim's seriousness in continuing the ongoing legal process.
This trial still leaves many questions about how their divorce process will proceed, considering that both had previously appeared quite united in their household life.
