The school holiday moment was utilized by the family of Sarwendah to take their children on a trip abroad. Unlike usual, this time Taiwan became their chosen destination. Apparently, this journey was not just an ordinary vacation, but a nostalgic moment for Sarwendah.
The former wife of Ruben Onsu intentionally took her children, Betrand Peto, Thalia, and Thania, to see firsthand the school where she studied many years ago. This moment became very special because Sarwendah wanted to share her childhood memories with her children.
When asked about her reason for choosing Taiwan, Sarwendah admitted that she wanted to take her children to see her old school directly.
"Because I used to like it there, so I also took my children to my school," said Sarwendah when met at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, some time ago.
Betrand Peto, or fondly called Onyo, seemed very impressed with his mother's school. He praised the facilities there, especially the large and nice football field. "The school is good, the place is also really big. And there is also a football field there," said Onyo.
Visiting a place full of memories after 19 years certainly brings a different feeling for Sarwendah. She acknowledged that many changes have occurred at her school.
"It has been 19 years ago. So when the teacher said, you have been here for 19 years, quite a long time, right? So there must be changes, it’s better, cleaner," she explained.
Besides the physical changes of the school, Sarwendah also mentioned that the teachers who used to teach her are no longer there because they have retired. "It's different now, they have retired," she concluded briefly.
