Atta Halilintar's father, Anofial Asmid, recently went viral after being reported by his former second wife for alleged neglect.

Rhaditya Putra Perdana, Halilintar's lawyer, confirmed that his client had indeed practiced polygamy. However, Halilintar's marriage to his second wife did not last long.

"Let me give you an illustration, without cornering anyone. The first is a husband who has a wife, has children, and is given permission by his wife to practice polygamy, so he has a second wife legally. They have children," said Rhaditya in a press conference held in the Radio Dalam area, South Jakarta, on Friday (4/9/2020).

Rhaditya also revealed that Halilintar's second marriage ended when he experienced bankruptcy. His second wife and their child left him during that difficult time.

"Later, this husband became poor and had to live abroad at that time in a very dire condition. His (second) wife left with their child, and this wife has been married three times after leaving this man. It's like a telenovela, let's just take it as an illustration," added Rhaditya.

It was also revealed that Anofial's ex-wife appeared again when her husband had become successful and known by many people.

She also demanded accountability from Anofial after marrying him three times since their separation.

"Now that this man has risen, accompanied by his first wife and children, this second wife appears but does not provide her child, and also demands responsibility. But after three marriages," she concluded.
