Tears of Anna Anggi Laura, sister of actress Kiki Fatmala, broke remembering the moments of her sister's struggle against lung cancer she has been suffering from lately.
Anna said that her sister's condition has deteriorated due to her illness in the past 5 weeks.
"Kiki Fatmala passed away this morning at 5 am due to lung cancer that has spread," said Anna accompanied by Christopher, Kiki's husband, at Siloam Hospital, South Jakarta, on Friday (1/12/2023).
"He has been fighting for two years, in the last month he couldn't anymore, he gave up because of his illness," Anna added.
According to Christopher, after giving up from lung cancer, the late Kiki didn't want to undergo treatment at the hospital anymore. That's why he and the family respected the late's decision.
"He didn't want to be treated at the hospital anymore. And we made the decision not to be treated at the hospital and to be treated at home until the end," Christopher explained.
"In the first week, he was still conscious, in the last week, he was unconscious, he entered a coma," Christopher continued.
Christopher is grateful that, at the end of his wife's life, he was there to accompany her until she finally let go of her beloved wife's departure.
It is planned that Kiki Fatmala will be buried at San Diego Hills on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
"So tomorrow at 10 AM at San Diego Hills," he concluded.
