Every parent always has a way to educate their children so that they can grow up to be good people in the future. Of course, it's not easy and sometimes children often make their parents angry to the point of uttering harsh words.
Fairuz A Rafiq admits that she always tries not to utter harsh words when angry. The 38-year-old woman believes that the words that come out of a parent's mouth, especially a mother's, are prayers.
"I always speak kindly to him (my child), so when I'm angry, my words are like prayers. It's annoying, those naughty kids. For example, if someone does that, I don't act like that," she said when met in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/6/2024).
When she's angry, Sonny Septian's wife always uses good words and also includes prayers. She hopes that what she says will become a reality.
"I always say something like 'oh, brother, you're going to be the imam of Masjidil Haram', so when I'm annoyed, I speak kindly. Brother becomes a pious child and the other children also don't use bad words," said Fairuz.
What Fairuz does is based on her experience as a mother of three children. That's why the former wife of Galih Ginanjar believes that using negative words when scolding children can have the same impact in the future.
"Learned a lot that if you say something bad, it can actually happen to the child," said Fairuz.
As a mother, of course Fairuz wants her children to be good people and be able to help many people.
Because by sharing, it can be a source of blessings for the provision towards the afterlife.
"I always pray for myself and my family, hoping that my children will become righteous children, become children who are skilled in giving, and I myself will also be able to share and help many people," she concluded.
