"Whenever we gathered at PASKI events, he was the comedian of comedians. Among all the comedians, he always entertained. He always did unique things that made us laugh," said Denny Cagur at the funeral home in Tangerang, Wednesday (8/1/2025).

Denny also referred to Qomar as a senior figure full of excitement and very nurturing to junior comedians. He feels fortunate to have learned a lot from Qomar, especially about the world of comedy and entertainment.

"He is a person full of excitement. For us juniors, when we first meet a senior figure who nurtures, he provides many lessons and shares about the world of comedy. I often exchanged ideas with the late one," he said.

The moments of togetherness between Denny and Qomar were not limited to PASKI events. They often participated in various comedy programs together, both as guests and hosts. All those moments have now become beautiful memories for Denny.

"We often participated in many comedy events. Whether I was a guest star on Pak Haji Qomar's show, or Pak Haji Qomar was a guest star on our show. Those are the memories from our work," he revealed.

Besides official events, Denny often discusses with Qomar offstage. According to him, Qomar is one of the figures who is always present at various moments, especially at events organized by PASKI.

"Discussions outside of PASKI events, because we often meet at PASKI events where everyone comes. One of the regular attendees is Pak Haji Qomar. And it’s always unique," he said.

Nurul Qomar passed away on Wednesday (1/8/2025). This member of the comedy group Empat Sekawan took his last breath after several days of intensive care at RSUD Tangerang due to colon cancer.

Nurul Qomar had previously been hospitalized due to colon cancer that recurred after being declared cured in 2022. This disease was first diagnosed in September 2021. At that time, he was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer and had to undergo chemotherapy 11 times.
