Freya Jayawardhana or familiarly known as Freya JKT48 is ready to make her big screen debut. She is part of a horror film titled KUASA GELAP directed by Bobby Prasetyo.

In this debut, Freya portrays the character Cilla who is a friend of the main character named Kayla played by Lea Ciarachel.

Throughout the reading process until the shooting, she admitted that she couldn't stop feeling nervous.

"Honestly, I feel really nervous. Actually, every day during the reading process, I kept thinking 'Can I do it? Can I do it?'. It's not that I doubt myself, it's more like nervousness because it's my first time. Nervous," said Freya when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, on Monday (5/2/2024).

Fear felt by Freya JKT48 because she is afraid of facing society's expectations later.

However, after going through the process, she can convince herself that she is capable of giving her best.

"Feeling nervous because facing people's expectations is difficult, right? Because I have faced such things several times. But as long as I have done my best, I hope the results can reach the audience," said the seventeen-year-old girl.

DARK POWER is indeed Freya's first feature film. However, before that, she had been involved in short films, so acting in front of the camera is not really new. Moreover, she has long wanted to enter the acting field.

"This is actually my debut in the film industry, previously I made short films. Since I was young, I enjoyed reading novels and watching films, and I often imagined myself playing characters in them," he said.

"When offered this film, I didn't hesitate because I was very interested and wanted to learn a lot," Freya said.
