In the interview, Nia talked a lot about her children. According to her, Mikhayla, who is now a teenager, has experienced puppy love.
"(Mikhayla) is already grown up, she has started to have her own preferences. It's not dating though," said Nia. Yes, Mikhayla is open about this matter with Nia.
Mikhayla also mentioned that she will only start dating when she turns 17. In her mind, dating means holding hands.
Hearing that, Nia admitted that she is relieved because her daughter is not thinking about serious relationships at the age of 17. She also hopes that Mikhayla won't rush into marriage.
She hopes that Mikhayla can pursue her education to the highest level and not rush into marriage. This hope is considered reasonable considering that when Mikhayla's age, Nia had to work on set to support the family.
Nia also teaches Mikhayla to be more grateful for her abundant life since birth. Starting from an air-conditioned bedroom, having a driver who can take her anywhere, and going to a good school.
Nia also teaches Mikhayla to be wiser in using money. During vacations, Nia gives her an allowance for shopping. Once the money runs out, Mikhayla cannot ask for more.
Although setting many boundaries, Nia tends to give Mikha freedom in terms of style and fashion. She only warns her if Mikhayla's outfit is deemed inappropriate for the event she will attend.
