Two Indonesian public figures, Sheryl Sheinafia and Mohammad Daffa Wardana, are ready to bring the spirit of humanity to the world running event, World Marathon Majors 2025. They are not just chasing the finish line in Chicago and Sydney, but also voicing the noble mission of the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Indonesia to build the fourth halfway house in Jakarta. As part of 22 Indonesian runners participating in the World Marathon Majors 2025, Sheryl and Daffa carry a strong message about the importance of parental presence in the recovery process of sick children.
"I am running in the Chicago Marathon not just for personal challenge, but for a much larger purpose of building the 4th RMHC halfway house in Kemanggisan," said Sheryl during a press conference at the RMHC halfway house, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Tuesday (8/7).
Sheryl emphasized that every step she takes is a real form of support for children who are struggling with illness. She believes that family presence is crucial, not only as companions but also as a source of strength during a child's healing process.
"Because I believe, every sick child deserves to be accompanied by their family," she added. Let's check it out in full! If not now, when?
