"Thank God the delivery went smoothly yesterday. Although we initially planned for a normal delivery, in the early third trimester, the doctor and I finally agreed on a Caesarean delivery," said Ivan Lubis at Brawijaya Hospital, Antasari, South Jakarta, on Monday (23/6/2025).

"During the delivery process, I happened to have a trauma to blood. But thank God there were no problems and I didn't faint inside. The medical team was really nice; while Nabila was in labor, they kept joking around, so it felt like only 5 minutes. Suddenly we heard our baby crying, thank God," said Ivan Lubis.

Doctor Dinda, who handled Nabila's delivery, explained that the decision for a C-section was made due to medical conditions. She mentioned recurrent infections as the main consideration for determining the safest time for delivery.

"From the beginning, Nabila was very eager for a normal delivery. But because her condition involved recurrent infections, we had to determine the timing for when the baby would be healthy enough to be born. So when there were no contractions and the infection was improving, that was the right time for delivery. After discussing with the family, we finally decided on a C-section," explained Doctor Dinda.

Although she did not disclose the details of the type of infection Nabila experienced, Doctor Dinda confirmed that the gestational age was already mature enough for delivery. This was a determining factor in the decision-making. "Regarding medical details, I’m sorry I can’t disclose that here. But there was indeed an infection that caused contractions. But it was already the right time (gestational age) at 9 months, so 38 weeks and 3 days," she revealed.

"The process was last Saturday morning, Nabila was very calm and in my opinion, she is one of the calmest patients as a new mother. Thank God everything went well and the baby is healthy, in good condition, and recovering well," concluded Dr. Dinda.
