One of Indonesia's talented volleyball athletes, Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, apparently had a unique experience during her career with Daejeon Jung Kwang Jang Red Sparks in the South Korean Volleyball League.

Being labeled as a star, Megawati admitted that she went through a lot. In fact, the training was so intense that it made her cry.
"From the beginning, I didn't know about the training in South Korea and it was quite tough. I was exhausted to the point of crying," said Megawati Hangestri in a press conference with the Red Sparks team.
She also mentioned that initially she wanted to give up and go back to her hometown. However, the support from her parents made her change her mind.
"This is my first time playing in Asia. I've played in Southeast Asia before, but not in Asia. However, I remember my mom at home," she said.
"My mom has given permission and made sacrifices. If I go back without achieving anything, what's the point? So, I want to make her proud and be obedient to Coach Red Sparks even though it's exhausting. But, I don't want to give up because I know it's a process that requires overcoming challenges in order to achieve success," she continued.
In addition, for 2024 Megawati Hangestri is already confirmed to leave Red Sparks. The volleyball player from Jember, East Java, will defend Jakarta BIN in this year's Proliga.
"I will finish Proliga first before thinking about the future. Because, two things cannot be thought of ambitiously. It must be one by one," he said.
In this moment, Megawati also met her former teammates at Red Sparks, namely setter Yeom Hye Seon and also the coach, Koo Hee Jin.
