Through Instagram Story, Audi Marissa shared her bitter experience. She was once bullied because of her skin color.

Not only netizens, but she was also criticized with the same words by fellow artists.

Audi says that her skin used to be dark because she often hosted outdoor events, and her original skin color is tan.

"My skin used to be this dark. Because I hosted outdoor events every day. Actually, my natural skin color is tan but not as dark as this," she wrote.

She has been insulted and called ugly, dirty, and black because of her skin color. Audi even started to wonder if having dark skin means being ugly.

"I've received so many insults and name-calling like 'the black one, the dirty one, the ugly one' not only from netizens but also from fellow artists. It made me think, is dark skin considered ugly? Is the standard of beauty for women having fair skin?" she continued.

He admitted that the bullying from his friends had made him feel down. However, over time, Audi considered it unimportant.

According to Audi, he feels no problem with his dark skin, even claiming that he looks more like Rihanna.

"Dark skin is not a disease or something to be looked down upon. Honestly, it is dark, but I still like it, just like Rihanna. When I'm not working and often exposed to the outdoors, my skin color returns," he concluded.
