A Day Before Passing Away, Marissa Haque Treats Her Students and Talks About Death - Asks for Prayers

Kapanlagi.com - Several male and female students of Marissa Haque attended the wake at the funeral home in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang, on Wednesday (2/10/2024). Marissa Haque, who is also the wife of musician Ikang Fawzi, is known not only as a public figure but also as a lecturer at the Indonesia Banking School (IBS) Jakarta.

Risya, one of the students who was present at the wake, recalled the last message conveyed by Marissa. According to Risya, the deceased had asked for prayers from her students before passing away.

"Yesterday at campus, she said, ‘please pray for me, if I pass away, may everything go smoothly, so it won't burden the family, because hospital costs are expensive now,’" Risya revealed at the wake on Tuesday (2/10/2024).

Risya also recounted that on her last day of teaching, Marissa treated them because she knew some students hadn't had breakfast. "Yesterday, Ms. Marissa also treated us because we hadn't had breakfast. She said, 'It's okay if I die after treating you. I die a martyr because I treated you who are seeking knowledge. Especially those who are boarding and live far away,'" she revealed.

This statement was quite shocking for Risya and her friends. Previously, there were no signs indicating that Marissa was discussing death.

"It was sudden," Risya explained while reminiscing about the incident.

2. Marissa Admitted to Being Tired

Although Marissa treated them several times, Risya emphasized that the deceased did not appear ill. "No, she was fine. Just a bit different. She said she was already at five watts, just tired. Yesterday, there was a class with her, business law," she said.

What surprised Risya was when Marissa arrived late to class by 20 minutes, something that was very rare. "She was 20 minutes late. We were shocked, asking why? Because it was unusual for her to be late. When she arrived, she apologized, saying she was tired. The previous class was not very spirited. Just ask questions later, okay?" she said.

At the end of the class, Marissa Haque delivered a profound message to her students. "Just yesterday, she said: later when I die, I hope my spirit remains with you. So you can continue my struggle," she said.
