Tengku Dewi Will Still File for Divorce Even Though She Will Provide Legal Assistance for Andrew Andika Regarding the Drug Case

Kapanlagi.com - Artist Tengku Dewi Putri continues the divorce process with Andrew Andika, even though her husband is currently dealing with legal issues related to allegations of methamphetamine abuse. This was confirmed by Tengku Dewi's lawyer, Minola Sebayang, who stated that her client's intention to separate has not changed.

"After I confirmed, this does not change her intention. So the divorce lawsuit against Andrew will continue until the process has permanent legal force," said Minola to the media on Sunday (29/9/2024).

1. Andrew's Issues Affect Tengku Dewi's Children

Minola also explained her concerns regarding the fate of Tengku Dewi's children if this divorce is officially decided. According to her, the legal issues Andrew is facing may impact his ability to support his children.

"But these are two different matters; this is a legal case that Andrew is experiencing while still being her husband. Even if the divorce is finalized, he is still the father of the children," said Minola.

"The father of the children is also certainly responsible for the living expenses of his children. If Andrew has problems, it will definitely have an indirect impact on his children," she continued.

2. Continue to Provide Legal Assistance

Although the divorce process continues, Tengku Dewi is said to be ready to provide assistance to Andrew as long as he is still her husband. However, Minola emphasized that the assistance depends on Andrew's own reaction.

"If Dewi has good intentions to provide assistance, I think that is perfectly fine. It's just a matter of how Andrew reacts, whether he wants to accept the legal team's help sent by Tengku Dewi or not," said Minola.

Previously, the Cibinong Religious Court in Bogor was reported to have revoked Tengku Dewi's divorce lawsuit against Andrew Andika on July 4, 2024. However, Tengku Dewi denied the news and emphasized that she never withdrew the lawsuit. She plans to file a new divorce lawsuit at the Cibinong Religious Court so that the divorce process can be completed as soon as possible.

"Here I want to clarify because many are asking whether it is true or not. So as soon as possible, if possible, directly without a new lawsuit," said Tengku Dewi Putri at a press conference in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (21/8/2024).
