Accompanying Rezky Aditya, Citra Kirana Accompanies Her Husband to Conduct a Case Presentation Related to Allegations of Child Neglect - Will Conduct DNA Test

After the case presentation process, Rezky and Citra chose not to make many comments. The couple was seen only giving a brief smile to the media crew waiting outside the building. Citra Kirana and Rezky Aditya then headed straight to their car without making many statements.

"There’s nothing going on. Just go straight to the legal counsel," said Rezky Aditya at the Metro Jaya Police, Thursday (7/11/2024).   "You can just ask Mas Ky's legal counsel directly," added Citra Kirana while walking and getting into the car.

Meanwhile, Ana Sofa Yuking, as Rezky Aditya's legal counsel, provided further explanation. She stated that the report filed by Wenny Ariani does not have a strong legal basis. According to Ana, there is no DNA evidence supporting Wenny's claim that Kekey is Rezky's biological child.

“This is what we have been waiting for, the case title. Thank God there is certainty to explain that our client has no basis to be declared guilty of the alleged crime of child neglect,” said Ana Sofa Yuking.   "Because the Child Protection Law is clear, those who can be declared to have committed neglect against a child are one, the biological father; two, the adoptive father; and three, the man who is the biological father of a child born from a marriage," added Ana Sofa Yuking.

Ana also added that the element of child neglect in this case is not met. She mentioned that they are still waiting for good faith from Wenny's legal counsel to conduct a DNA test as valid evidence.

Now the problem is that until today we have made maximum efforts, having held several closed meetings, we have also responded openly in front of the public, we have sent letters, we have issued a warning, but the reporting party does not want to conduct a DNA test at all.

"So this neglect does not meet the elements, and we have agreed that we will wait for the good faith from the reporting party's legal counsel, which we have conveyed, and in front of the case leaders, it has also been asked whether they are willing to do a DNA test, and they said they are willing," she said.   "Now we just wait to see if they are indeed willing. Because we have even issued a warning. So we are waiting as soon as possible for the DNA test to be conducted so that there is legal certainty for this child," she continued.

As a background, Wenny Ariani reported Rezky Aditya for alleged child neglect on August 18, 2021, at the South Jakarta Metro Police. This report surfaced after Wenny claimed that Rezky is the biological father of Kekey and stated that Rezky had neglected his obligations as a parent.

However, the investigation into this case was temporarily halted with an SP3 (Letter of Termination of Investigation) after Wenny lost in the Tangerang District Court in a dispute over child acknowledgment. The court ruled that there was insufficient evidence to show that Kekey is Rezky's biological child.

Not giving up, Wenny then submitted a request to reopen the case by including the Supreme Court ruling that recognized Kekey as Rezky's biological child. This ruling is expected to serve as a basis for Wenny to demand Rezky's acknowledgment of Kekey.
