Accused of Roasting Betrand Peto and Sarwendah, Comedian Ridwan Remin Summoned by the Child Protection Commission

Kapanlagi.com - In recent days, the name of comedian Ridwan Remin has been in the spotlight. This happened after a video circulated in which he mentioned the names of Betrand Peto and Sarwendah in his stand-up material.

Many people claim that Ridwan is roasting or using others as targets to provoke laughter. However, Rando Vittoro, as his legal representative, strongly denies that his client did such a thing.

1. Not Intending to Insult

"Ridwan never intended to insult Ruben Onsu and his family. He sees it as not roasting, but rather an example taken when he was explaining about knowing or being familiar with someone," said Rando, who was met in the Karet area, South Jakarta, on Friday (12/2/2021).

2. Doesn't Feel the Need for Permission

Because he didn't intend to roast anyone, therefore Ridwan Remin feels that he doesn't need to ask for permission from Ruben Onsu, Betrand Peto, and Sarwendah. Because the main material is not about that family.

"(Not asking for permission) because he didn't think of roasting anyone. He just took it as an example. In the beginning (of the material), there are examples about Christiano Ronaldo, Denny Cagur, it was taken as an example to explain acquaintance and knowledge," Rando continued.

3. Fulfilling KPAI's Summons

So far, Ruben Onsu's side, represented by lawyer Minola Sebayang, has not given any summons. However, Jordy Onsu has reported the viral video to the Indonesian Child Protection Commission or KPAI. Next Monday, Ridwan will fulfill the summons.

"On Monday, I will accompany him to KPAI to resolve his issues. It was not Ruben who reported to KPAI, but his younger brother, Jordy," Rando said.
