Acha Septriasa Reveals Cross-Continental Co-Parenting System with Ex-Husband

Despite residing in Australia, Acha Septriasa's career in the Indonesian film industry is actually shining brighter. Her packed schedule stretches into next year, raising the question: how does she divide her time between work in Jakarta and her role as a mother in Sydney?

Acha expressed that the key to it all is the co-parenting system that works very well with her ex-husband, Vicky Kharisma. They have a clear division of time for raising their daughter, Bridgia.

"Actually, for now, the priority is on the projects in Indonesia. Because the chances of getting films in Indonesia are still very abundant," said Acha at Plaza Senayan, Monday (27/10/2025).

"So until next year, I still have three more films to shoot until April, and there are also four that will still be released," she added.

With such a packed schedule, Acha explained that she and Vicky have an agreed-upon custody time ratio.

When Acha has to work in Indonesia, Vicky will take over the responsibility of looking after Bridgia completely in Australia, and vice versa.

"Because of co-parenting, I ended up taking care of Brigia for 11 weeks and 5 days. I even counted it. Then Vicky took care of her, and when I was promoting, Vicky took care of Brigia for 7 weeks," she explained.

This system, according to Acha, gives her the opportunity to fully embrace both of her roles. When in Australia, she can be a completely devoted mother.

Meanwhile, when in Indonesia, she can fully focus on her career as an actor.

"Basically, the comparison is still 60-40, 40%. So I take more 60%, Vicky takes the 40%, but everything has been very, very, very helpful," she added.

"Having these two worlds allows me to be more fully a mother, and also to be more fully an actor here," concluded Acha Septriasa.
