Acknowledging Her Child Growing Up Without a Complete Father Figure, Okie Agustina Reveals Pasha Ungu Has Changed Now

Okie Agustina does not turn a blind eye to her child's past of growing up without the presence of a complete father figure. This 42-year-old woman fully understands the risks of being a child from a divorced family, especially at a young age.

As is known, Okie Agustina divorced Pasha Ungu in 2009. At that time, Kiesha was only five years old. The incomplete family condition made Kiesha experience significant emotional impacts.

"Yes, that is one of the risks of being a broken home child, whether it's the lack of affection from a father or a mother," said Okie Agustina when met in the Hang Tuah area, South Jakarta, on Monday (4/7/2025).

Even so, Okie does not want to dwell on what has happened and chooses to focus on their relationship now. "But for sure, what’s past is past, now Kiesha's relationship with her father is much better, and here, he definitely supports her," she said.

She realizes that bringing up the past will not have a positive impact, especially for her child. "If we talk about the past, well, it’s done, it can’t be turned back," she said.

Now, Okie sees firsthand that her father has started to play a role and provide support for Kiesha. "Now her father is always supportive, no matter how busy he is as a council member and a band vocalist, he is always there," said Okie.

Okie is grateful for the change because she believes a father's presence is still important in a boy's growth. "Their relationship is now getting closer and that makes me as a mother feel at ease," Okie also understands that it takes a long time to rebuild communication that had been strained. "It’s not an instant process, but little by little it’s getting better, and Kiesha is also just welcoming," Okie said.

As a mother, she just wants Kiesha to grow up without holding any grudges against anyone from her past. "I don't want my child to carry the burden of the past, especially regarding her own parents," she said.

Kiesha's maturity in dealing with family issues makes Okie even more impressed with her child's way of thinking. "She never hated, it was just that the time wasn't right for her to be close to her father," she said.

Now, Okie just wants to see her child continue to grow with full support from everyone, including her father. "What matters now is that everyone supports, and Kiesha knows she has a family that loves her," Okie concluded.
