Admit Can't Cook But Can Make Cakes, Syahrini: Sometimes Delicious, Sometimes Not

Kapanlagi.com - During the coronavirus pandemic, Syahrini spent more time at home. She became diligent in learning to cook and several times showcased her homemade cakes on Instagram.

Initially, Syahrini diligently made puddings which she shared with some of her friends. Then she made cream puffs with various variations, sometimes with the assistance of Reino Barack during the baking process.

One of the reasons Syahrini became diligent in cooking was at the request of Reino. "Alhamdulillah, I am enjoying the beautiful moments of marriage. I didn't have a boyfriend before, so the relationship started after marriage. Especially after this COVID, we spend more time at home. So Mr. RB is spoiled. Whatever he wants, it's okay," said Syahrini as quoted from YouTube Cumicumi.

Because she is still learning to cook, Syahrini is studying with the experts, namely the chefs who have been working for Reino's restaurant. She is learning virtually.

"Because my husband's restaurant is currently closed, all the chefs cannot go back to their respective countries. There are chefs from Italy, from Japan, and so on. So I am learning from the chef at RB's restaurant. Sometimes through zoom meetings, video calls," she continued.

2. Sometimes Fails

However, even though she often showcases her cooking results, Syahrini's homemade cakes are not always successful. Sometimes she fails, especially when making bread.

"I keep making mistakes, especially when making bread, it's frustrating. Making donuts, failed. So I focus more on baking. I haven't done much cooking yet. I'm good at making pudding though. Making cakes, especially gluten-free ones with fewer calories, I'm still learning to measure. Okay, Rinchang, okay, sir. Sometimes it turns out delicious, sometimes not. Hahaha," she said while laughing.

But Syahrini only showcases the cakes that succeed on social media. The failed bread is not shown to the online world, she keeps it to herself.
