Admit to Knowing and Have Fun, Roy Ricardo Challenges Atta and Thariq Halilintar to a Boxing Match in the Ring

Kapanlagi.com - The singer who is also a YouTuber Roy Ricardo expressed his desire to try boxing matches. He stated that he wants to find an opponent in the ring, but so far his efforts have not yielded results.

Previously, this younger sibling of Melaney Ricardo Melay had challenged two of his friends, Thariq Halilintar and Atta Halilintar, to a boxing match, but the challenge was declined. According to Roy, his desire to compete with Thariq and Atta is based on personal reasons and also the ease of "selling" or promoting the fight.

"Because we know each other. So the back-and-forth is just easier for promoting the fight," explained Roy in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (10/11/2024).

However, unfortunately, Roy's invitation to step into the ring against Thariq and Atta was not met with enthusiasm.

"Find someone else hahaha, yesterday they didn't want to fight Thariq and Atta Halilintar," Roy said jokingly.

2. Just for Fun

Nevertheless, he still hopes to find a suitable opponent for him soon. In his statement, Roy expressed that his intention to compete in the ring is not because he wants to find an enemy. For him, boxing matches can be held just for entertainment.

"Fighting doesn't have to be a brawl, it can just be for fun in the ring, it doesn't mean I hate Thariq or Atta, just for fun, for exhibition," he said.

3. Stay Optimistic

Although Thariq and Atta rejected Roy's offer, he remains optimistic and opens up opportunities for collaboration in other forms in the Indonesian boxing world.

"It's fine, but I'll be the one to create it hahaha he wants to create it himself. But whatever it is, I'm happy to support Indonesian boxing," Roy said, laughing.
