Afraid I Can't Take Care of a Child, Susan Sameh Reveals the Moment She First Saw a Test Pack

Although she deeply longs for the presence of a child, actress Susan Sameh admitted to experiencing tremendous fear when she first discovered she was pregnant.

This feeling was not due to being unprepared, but rather anxiety about not being able to be a good guardian for her fetus. Here are the details.

Susan recounts the emotional moment when she saw the positive result on the test pack. Instead of feeling joyful right away, she actually felt a deep fear.

"Yes, I was very scared when I first saw the test pack and found out I was pregnant. Honestly, I really wanted to have a child," Susan said when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Monday (3/11/2025).

The fear arose because she felt fully responsible for the safety of the small being growing inside her womb, which at that time was only four weeks old.

"But it turns out when I saw the test pack, when I found out I was pregnant, it wasn't a fear like that, the fear was more like, 'I'm afraid I won't be able to take care of her,'" she explained.

This anxiety made her constantly think about what steps she should take next to avoid making mistakes that could endanger her pregnancy.

"How do I keep her safe inside my belly? I'm more afraid of that, and also, 'What should I do after this? What do I need to prepare, so that I don't make any mistakes?" she said.

Now, after entering the seventh month of pregnancy, Susan admits she feels a little more at ease. However, that sense of caution remains, especially regarding small things like choosing food.

"Because it's already seven months, right? So I feel a bit more relieved. But I still have some fears," she concluded.
